Put that gun down and walk away from the steam press!!!
Okay, Vin, forgot to tell you that after the Newark Museum, we decide to also register at Macy's ( for those people who can't get to Crate and Barrel). So, we stopped by the Macy's at Newport Mall and we sat in front of the Bridal Registry desk. The woman at the desk appeared to be very happy to be working at Macys (please note the dripping sacrasm). She just had us fill out some paperwork and asked us the same questions that we on the paperwork that we were filling out. Vin answered the questions while I filled out the forms. As she entered our information into the computer, she asked what our names were. Cheryl and Vince. Well, another co-worker named Sharon came over and asked her if she wanted her to take over. She said, "Don't worry. I will take care of Vincent." The happy worker stated, "No, his name is Vince." Sharon stated, "Well, I know him as Vincent." A few minutes later after Vin stretched his brain Vin realized that Sharon was a mother of a classmate of his from grammar school days. Sharon was pleasant and helped us register and showed us the scan gun and left us to scan through the store.
Well, Vin had his day holding the scanner and pointing and shooting away. I was left holding the registry sheet and my coat while I picked out cookware, barware, flatware. Vin and I argued a bit on some but mostly it we agreed on most stuff. He really wanted this cool retro looking microwave but there was none to scan. He was also really excited about this steam press. He wanted to put 3 of those items down on our registry.
Wandering around the shelves looking at items got me a bit dizzy (especially since I have a head cold) and so we didn't complete our list. We might head over at another time to the Macy's in Short Hills or Paramus and complete the linens, towels, and the Swisswerks luggage that Vin wanted. Next time, I get the gun.
